DAICEL chiral chromatography products

Daicel columns are supplied directly from us in a range of sizes. DAICEL chiral columns are the most widely used and referenced chiral chromatography products in the world. Due to their broad selectivity, good durability and especially high loading capacity.

These columns are used in applications ranging from analytical method and quality control to preparative scale separations. Using DAICEL chiral stationary phases, more than 95% of all chiral small molecules can be easily resolved. For many years our four most versatile columns CHIRALPAK®AD, CHIRALCEL®OD, CHIRALPAK®AS and CHIRALCEL®OJ have given researchers the ability to resolve their chiral compounds. Recently we have introduced the next generation of products. The new immobilised columns CHIRALPAK®IA, CHIRALPAK®IB and now CHIRALPAK®IC, which provide outstanding separation capabilities in combination with robustness in use. Using these three columns and a limited number of mobile phases >>99% of all small chiral molecules can be quickly separated.

To separate larger sample quantities we offer an extensive range of semi-preparative and preparative columns. Both Discovery and chemical development groups in pharmaceutical laboratories routinely use these columns to separate mg and g quantities. Columns are available for HPLC and higher pressure rated versions for SFC. To assist customers in rapidly scaling methods – CHIRAL TECHNOLOGIES EUROPE has introduced a range of 5 micron preparative columns (30 mm and 50 mm dia.) which are available for both HPLC and SFC.

Bulk chiral stationary phases for self-packing and production purposes are also available from CHIRAL TECHNOLOGIES EUROPE.

Custom Separation Service

CHIRAL TECHNOLOGIES EUROPE offers their technical capabilities to separate chiral molecules at the mg, g and kg scale. Using expert knowledge and range of equipment Chiral Technologies can rapidly separate both enantiomers. The facility complies with cGMP and GLP guidelines, and is equipped with batch and continuous preparative equipment as well as SFC. The evaluation is free and the separation of racemates is cost effective.

Large-scale separations in the multi kg to ton range are available from DAICEL's Plant in Japan.

Biotransformation.

This innovative DAICEL technology can be applied to the commercial production of chiral alcohols, chiral amino acids and chiral amino alcohols. This technology is a very cost and environmental friendly method of producing chiral molecules. DAICEL has an extensive library of cloned enzymes that can rapidly be screened to determine suitability for biotransformation.

Partner in Development

The Technical Centre located near Strasbourg is equipped to work with customers throughout the entire drug development process - from initial analytical method development to production of the approved, single enantiomer drug product.
